Production Stage Practicum Module

In this class production of Vicious Bloom, I was part of the Costume department and took on main leading roles in the creative directory of the costume design.

The theatre style my class was assigned to was Brechtian Theatre, additionally blending eco-consciousness into the design and concept of our production.

• Leading of concept ideation.
  • Ensuring that the concept aligns with our production's theme and morals.
  • Figuring out additional costuming  mechanics.
• Draft costume sketches.
  • Sketched a brief costume layout of the cast.
    
• Providing quotations for purchases.
  • Providing a monthly budget for our expenses documented in Excel.
• Costume fitting
  • Getting each actor's measurements and providing appropriate costuming.
  • Make small costume tweaks on actors.
• Prepping actors into costume
  • Ensure that all actors are in their costume.
  • Tend to any costume malfunctions on the spot during rehearsal.

Gamelan Naga Kencana Internals Performance 2025

• Defining the theme and storyline of our performance.
  • Kalajengaken is term in Gamelan used when two songs are played consecutively. The word means "continuing" 
  • Main inspirations were taken from the folklore of "Ramayana", mainly focused on Rama and Sita's relationship.
• Providing a repertoire.
  • Provided a list of songs that aligns with the theme of the performance.
• Assist in the leading of trainings.
  • Assisted the Head of Training in leading the ensemble.
  • Ensuring a steady rhythm and synchronization.
• Over see the ensemble's quality.
  • Made sure that every performer's skills are met.
  • Assist struggling performers in areas to improve.
